Can anyone help with instructions?
Sunday, March 05, 2006

My Mother had this stuff lying around for FOREVER (nicely in a box)! I found directions on how to connect the flowers in an old 1950's magazine (I think it's going to be a baby gift, but not sure), but I can't seem to find any directions on how to use the lazy daisy...anyone have any? Or can you give me some?
The article in the old magazine showed it being used with really fluffy angora and I thought it might be cool to make the flowers out of a variety of the weird yarns we have available now...can't you picture purses or whatever made out of them?

No tips, but, if you make that purse, I want to see it!
Cute yarn daisies! Try this site --

She has a scanned copy (fuzzy) of instructions for a daisy maker -- it's probably not the same as yours, but will maybe give you an
idea of how to proceed.
Good luck!

You know, I'd never seen one of these until it showed up on my favourite tv show a while back: http://www.abc.net.au/tv/collectors/txt/s1504516.htm
And now here you have one! Synchronicity ROCKS!

I bought one of them waaay back in the 70s I think it was and have never used it!
I've seen daisies made of that nylon ribbon they knit coathangers in,but think you'd have to watch out that the yarn wasn't too thick a ply to allow several layers to "sit on the pins. You need to loop around a petal then to opposite side in a figure eight direction then stabilise centre(like a pom-pom) before you retract pins to release daisy!
I bet that's as clear as MUD!!
