Photographs and statements
This new series looks at contemporary American culture through the austere lens of statistics
Summer 2007
Stumble It!
Toothpicks, 2007 (60x99") Depicts 8 million toothpicks, equal to the number of trees harvested in the US every month to make the paper for mail order catalogs.
As for me, there is nothing more satisfying about a clean refridgerator. I love the colors and freshness when I open the door!
However, I also realize how much brand name junk is in there...hmmm...beauty and reality...like the photograph on top! We are enjoying our summer, with family around and lots of work to do! The kids and I have still found time for our wading pool outside and "Otter Pops"! And for the grandparents, aunts and uncles and close friends...here's our summer, so far!
