Oh, the weather outside is frightful!

We're cuddled inside a warm toastie house with plenty of groceries, but HOLY COW! Where did all this snow come from?
Despite what most of you think about Colorado, we do not get this much snow normally!
I'm sure the blog will get a ton of attention over the next couple of days while we're totally snowed in!

Traditional Quilting...it's a first for me
Ok, time to make peace with beta blogger (I have to say, ick!) - but I'm going to maybe be snowed in a for a few more days, so have some projects and other stuff I want to blog.
Not sure how much I blogged about it, but I took a traditional quilt class from Quilt U some time ago, and decided that my fabrics were all wrong for the project she wanted us to do (all small triangles) so lucky for me, I have a quilt client (web design) who makes fantastic simple patterns. This one is "Saved by the Square". I did it all wrong (actually added the 1/4 inch rather than realizing it was part of it) but at least I'm consistent!
So, here's the beginning:

We're off to do errands this morning, but I guess we're going to get snowed in this afternoon, so it looks like a good afternoon project to me! I'm going to use the same pattern on Missy C's kitty quilt if I can ever finish the blocks.

Happy Holidays and a more consistent blogging New Year!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Holiday Season! We are fairly well snowed in (just a few short trips out...one today to the grocery store!) and otherwise we're hiding in until March when the snow melts! Just kidding!
The kids are having a ton of fun in the snow (and we're amazed that they are!) and otherwise we're enjoying Rex's two week break between his old job and his new one!
I'm working on getting this switched over to Wordpress. I think this new blogger is a pain and so I'm trying my best. Hopefully the New Year will see a new blog here!
Anyway, Happy Holidays to all of you!
Stripped down and starting afresh

Blogger upgraded me to their beta so I'm in progress of cleaning up a lot of blog things that should have been cleaned up a long time ago.
I'm finding reading old entries is like reading an old diary...very interesting! Wow, I was much more creative a year ago, I wonder what happened? Anyway, bear with me while I clean up here and get myself back to "normal" on the blog!
PS: Why didn't blogger add more new templates since they were doing all this work? Annoying.
