Happy 50th Anniversary to Mom and Dad!

I think you will all understand how crazy it's been when I wish my Mom and Dad Happy 50th Anniversary. Their anniversary was actually in March, but the celebration got moved to summer so my brother, sister in law, and two kids (who my kids have never met!) could come from Maine and my other brother from England!

It was crazy, fun, busy and I'm relieved it's over and went so well. For family (or people who won't be bored completely stiff) here are the photos! (mine anyway).

The cousins had a wonderful time together and I'm sure there will be a lot of emailing and care packages in the future!

Thanks Mom and Dad for being a wonderful inspiration!

In other family news, my mother in law has started a blog, so pop over and say hi! I think she's going to need some encouragement, so those of you who thought you were "blog challenged" but are actually enjoying it...go over and give her a welcome!

We've been doing a lot of gardening, playing at the park and visiting the library....ah, summer has begun!

Thanks for all the "hellos" in my previous post! Nice to know folks are there and waving hello!

Still having issues with spam entries on the webring (to the point I can't find the "real" entries...can you imagine spammers doing that!). The stupid thing is that unless they give me a virus, there's no point to them listing there...it's not like I'm approving them to an embellishment webring. Duh!

I'm planning on spending the hot part of this afternoon in the studio...maybe I'll get something to post! :-)

Back into it....aka "Summer Begins"

I seem to have arrived at the motherlode! Being in a neighborhood with huge amounts of Mom's with young kids...guess what quite a few are getting rid of! Their wedding dresses! This one comes from my massively creative friend Claudia! Isn't it gorgeous? She was worried about a little dirt around the bottom edge and so yet I'm picturing doing some dying! Oooo....ok, you know I'm truly a crazy quilter when I see a beautiful wedding dress and all I can see is how to start cutting it up!

Well, we have started getting organized for the summer...schedules, chore charts, tons of activities and I'm trying to schedule in time for art and craft! I need to organize my studio (which is a dumping ground for some reason) and start playing with some new ideas.

I've also been massively slack with blogging, but I'm back on that too!

My apologies to webring folks...the ring was beseiged with tons of spam entries which I've been trying to wade through. The spammers newest trick is to submit entries in other languages. Since we have members of the ring from all over the world, I'm often duped and then install some hideous spamwear or virus. UGH! BAD SPAMMERS! Anyway, I hope to have it all cleaned up over this weekend.
